Personal Care

Personal care is carried out by our trained staff, our aim to provide a discrete and professional service that supports dignity and independence for the service user.

These are some of the items that may be included:

  • Assisting with dressing/undressing – getting up in the morning and preparing for bed at night

  • Assisting with bathing, showering and washing, helping to maintain personal hygiene and dignity

  • Assisting with grooming, looking good and feeling good is part of wellbeing

  • Assistance with skin care, washing hair and cleaning teeth, checking oral hygiene and ensuring no pressure sores develop

  • Assisting with bed bathing and making sure the client is comfortable

  • Assisting with toileting and the use of incontinence aids, maintaining cleanliness and dignity, working with community healthcare specialists as needed

  • Assistance with medication and health related duties (in accordance with the documented and agreed Care Plan), liaising with the GP and Pharmacist, etc as required and fetching medication

  • Night sleepover or sitting service and day sitting services, ensuring client safety and being on hand for any emergencies

  • Assisting with the preparation of nutritious meals, drink and snacks, a good diet is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  These can be prepared to cultural or lifestyle needs as wanted.  We can also help with feeding if required

Each visit is used as an opportunity to assess changes and report and advise on beneficial changes to the Care Plan
